The Fragrance House is committed to sustainability. We are an ethical company who strive to maintain the highest standards of sustainability in everything we do. We used to use bubble wrap but instead invested in our own cardboard shredding machine which could recycle our waste cardboard into void fill. We only buy sustainable and recyclable materials including for packaging. We do not buy polystyrene chips for example. However, some suppliers will ship items to us and use these as packaging. We encourage them not to, and maybe one day we will be able to insist they are not used. If a company sends us polystyrene chips for example, we asked the recycling centre who said it is more eco-friendly to keep reusing them over and over rather than dispose ……. so we reuse – even though we would never buy them. That is the case with the plastic backed paper …… not our choice, but since it comes to us from a printer, it’s better to make use than to dispose.
